UA Capstone Engineering Society to Sponsor Golf Tournament

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Greater Birmingham Chapter of the Capstone Engineering Society of The University of Alabama College of Engineering will hold the fifth annual CES Golf Tournament Tuesday, May 3, at the Bent Brook Golf Course in Bessemer with registration beginning at 11 a.m.
The tournament is open to UA College of Engineering alumni and their friends. The format will be a four-person team scramble with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Prizes will be awarded at the event.
The cost for participation is $125 per player, and registration includes green fees, cart, range balls, beverages, lunch and a souvenir shirt. Individuals or companies can sponsor a hole for $300, receiving signage on the tee, scoreboard recognition, and recognition in the Capstone Engineer, the College of Engineering alumni magazine. Proceeds of the golf tournament benefit the initiatives of CES, which include scholarships for engineering and computer science students.

The Capstone Engineering Society, established in 1972, is the alumni society of the College of Engineering. CES is dedicated to maintaining relationships and sharing resources with UA engineering alumni to ensure that the College is able to provide UA engineering and computer science students with a superior educational experience.
