TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – All University of Alabama students now have access to a variety of emotional health resources at http://www.ulifeline.org.
Working in collaboration with the Jed Foundation, formed by the parents of a college student who committed suicide, the UA Counseling Center has established a link to these resources specifically for UA students. This resource contains valuable information including links to the UA Counseling Center Web site, an upcoming list of support groups and crisis centers in our area, “Go Ask Alice” (a question-and-answer database), a mental health library, suicide prevention resources, a drug database resource, and an on-line health assessment tool. Students may log onto the Ulifeline resource simply by identifying the state of Alabama and The University of Alabama as their location.
“This is an excellent resource. We encourage all UA students to use Ulifeline to address their questions and concerns relating to emotional health,” said Lee Keyes, director of the Counseling Center.
