UA Gallery Features Works of Art from the Permanent Collection

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Sarah Moody Gallery of Art on The University of Alabama campus will feature recent acquisitions to the permanent collection in the exhibition “Floored: Selections from the Permanent Collection.” The exhibition will open July 9 and run through Aug. 13.

The permanent collection includes works on paper in the mediums of photography, printmaking, drawing, painting and digital art. The collection continues to grow due to generous donations and opportunity for acquisitions. The exhibition will emphasize works by Walter Askin, Dotty Attie, Robert Cumming, Jim Dine, Stephen Mueller, Thomas Nozkowski and Kara Walker.

Funding for acquisitions to the permanent collection is provided by the Sarah Moody Gallery Purchase Fund. Funding for the gallery is provided by the department of art and the College of Arts & Sciences at The University of Alabama. Summer gallery hours are 10 a.m. – noon and 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Monday – Friday.
