Davis Receives UA Premier Award

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Dr. Sara “Salli” deSaussure Davis, associate professor of English at The University of Alabama, recently received one of UA’s Premier Awards, a highly selective honor awarded by the UA president.
Davis received the Morris Lehman Mayer Award, named in honor of a business professor emeritus, that recognizes one member of the graduating class and one faculty member who exemplify integrity, selfless service and leadership at UA.
Davis was the faculty recipient of this year’s Mayer Award. She was recognized at a dinner given by UA President Robert E. Witt and at UA Honor’s Day ceremonies held on campus during the spring semester.
Davis is the daughter of Mrs. Richard C. Davis of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
