UA Students Receive Awards on Honors Day

Student awards were recently presented as part of Honors Day ceremonies at The University of Alabama. The awards were announced during the Tappings and Awards Ceremony held Friday, April 16, in Tuscaloosa.

* Blake Barnes of Fairhope was named Outstanding Freshman.
* Shermeen Memon of Tuscaloosa was named Outstanding Sophomore.
* Laura Neergaard of Olive Branch, Miss., was named Outstanding Junior.
* William Norvell of Florence was named Outstanding Junior.
* Wesley Douglas Reynolds of Athens was named Outstanding Senior.
* Joshua Payne of Tuscaloosa was named Outstanding Transfer Student.
* Heather Schacht of Tuscaloosa was named Outstanding Graduate Student.
