UA Women’s Resource Center to Hold Brown Bag Lunch Events

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama Women’s Resource Center is sponsoring Brown Bag Lunch Fridays in the Ferguson Forum from noon-1:15 p.m. on these dates:

  • On Friday, Oct. 31, have lunch with Ana Schuber, an instructor in Continuing Education who also teaches courses in women’s studies and religion at UA. She will discuss women and spirituality.
  • On Friday, Nov. 7, have lunch with Dr. Catherine Roach, assistant professor in New College and Religious Studies at UA. She will discuss her research on “Exotic Dance and Sex-Positive Feminism.”
  • On Friday, Nov. 21, the film, “Mothers and Daughters: The Tie that Bonds” will be shown. The film explores the mother-daughter relationship across ethnic and generational lines; it is filled with candid, emotional interviews with daughters, mothers and grandmothers.

The public is invited and encouraged to bring a lunch to all of these free events.
