UA Professor Receives National Appointment

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Dr. Beverly Thorn, professor and director of clinical psychology at The University of Alabama, was recently named as a Fellow of the Division of Health Psychology of the American Psychological Association.

Thorn was also elected by the Division of Health Psychology to serve a second three-year term on the American Psychological Association Council of Representatives. That council acts as the association’s governing body. In addition, she was also named chair of the Education and Training Committee of the Society for Clinical Psychology.
