Anniston Students Receive UA Scholarships

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Laura Beth Amerson and Alison J. Miller, both of Anniston, were awarded the Ashley Doyle and John Gaither Endowed Scholarship at The University of Alabama.

The $600 per year endowment is awarded to full-time undergraduate students maintaining a minimum 3.0 grade point average who are returning to the University as sophomores and whose county of origin is Calhoun or Cleburne.

The scholarship is renewable to those students who maintain the academic standards set forth by the donors. Ashley Meadows, a junior from Anniston, was awarded a renewal of her scholarship for the 2003-2004 academic year.
