TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The Coordinating Council of Student Organizations at The University of Alabama will sponsor its fall Get On Board Day Wednesday, Sept. 3 at the UA Quad from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Held annually, Get On Board Day gives UA students the opportunity to learn about the many student organizations available to them on campus. Some 200 student organizations are participating in this year’s event.
The CCSO will be offering students a number of door prizes for visiting Get On Board Day, including a DVD player donated by Comcast, free cell phones and gift certificates to local restaurants. A local radio station will provide music for the day, and several food vendors will also be out on the Quad.
Get On Board Day has been sponsored by the CCSO for a number of years; it continues to be an excellent opportunity for students looking to join campus organizations.
The University of Alabama, a student-centered research university, is experiencing significant growth in both enrollment and academic quality. This growth, which is positively impacting the campus and the state's economy, is in keeping with UA's vision to be the university of choice for the best and brightest students. UA, the state's flagship university, is an academic community united in its commitment to enhancing the quality of life for all Alabamians.
