UA-RED Provides Opportunities for Teaching Careers

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Career Center will sponsor the Spring 2003 UA-RED (Recruitment of Educators Day) Wednesday, April 2, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The event will be held in the Ferguson Ballroom on the UA campus and is free and open to the public.

School systems from across the Southeast will be on campus to interview current teachers, all majors interested in teaching, education majors and UA alumni for teaching positions in their areas. Over 65 schools are expected to participate this year. A list of participants can be viewed at www.career.ua.edu.

Participants will sign up for interviews from 9 a.m.-10 a.m. and the interviews will begin at 10 a.m. Dress is interview attire and attendees are encouraged to bring several resumes and portfolios are optional.
