UA Students Awarded National Minority Scholarships

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — University of Alabama engineering students Leland Weaver of Mobile and Robyn McArthur of Tuscaloosa recently received the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Minority Scholarship Award.

They are two of only 15 students in the nation to receive the prestigious award of $1,000 each.

The honor was presented to them at the Minority Affairs Committee Award Ceremony for Volunteer Leadership Recognition during the organization’s national conference in Indianapolis in November.
