Reception to Honor UA Interim President Barry Mason

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The public is invited to an appreciation reception for University of Alabama interim President Barry Mason on Thursday, Feb. 27, from 4:30-6 p.m. in the lobby of Rose Administration building.

The reception will honor Mason for his outstanding contribution to UA as interim president, and wish him well as he returns to the deanship of the University’s Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration. The event will include brief remarks at 5 p.m.

Mason, dean of the UA business school since 1988, has served as interim president since July 1, 2002.

The University of Alabama, a student-centered research university, is experiencing significant growth in both enrollment and academic quality.
