(L-R) Mary Jo Modica, director of The University of Alabama Arboretum, joins 3-year-old John Foster and his brother Brady, 7, to check out what’s growing in the UA Arboretum Children’s Garden. The new addition to the UA Arboretum is the creation of volunteer Brenda Ramey who has designed, planted and maintained the garden to be shared by children and parents. The boys are the sons of Randy and Sonya Foster of Tuscaloosa. In addition to being a proud dad, Randy Foster is the UA Arboretum groundskeeper.

The University of Alabama, a student-centered research university, is experiencing significant growth in both enrollment and academic quality. UA, the state's flagship university, is an academic community united in its commitment to enhancing the quality of life for all Alabamians.
