UA Army ROTC to Hold Annual JROTC Roll Tide Invitational Drill Meet Saturday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — University of Alabama Army ROTC will host their annual Roll Tide Invitational JROTC drill meet Saturday, March 16.

JROTC Cadets from Hillcrest High School, Tuscaloosa Central, Tuscaloosa County and Brookwood High School will participate. The sign-in will be at 7:30 a.m. at the ROTC Building, 610 Capstone Drive, with the first event, the Army Physical Fitness Test, beginning in front of Tomey Hall at 8:30 a.m.

The competition will consist of five events including the Army Physical Fitness Test, Academic Challenge (written), Field Manual 22-5 Drill, Fancy Drill, and Color Guard. Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes in each event and for the overall competition.

There will be an awards ceremony at the end of the competition. In the event of rain, the drill events will be held at Foster Auditorium.
